Sketching is one of the purest and most expressive forms of art, allowing participants to transform thoughts, emotions, and ideas into visuals using the simplicity of pencil and paper.
This event celebrates observation, creativity, patience, and precision—the true essence of artistic expression. From bold lines to subtle shading, participants will use fundamental sketching techniques to capture concepts, tell stories, and bring ideas to life. The competition cultivates fine motor skills, enhances concentration, and nurtures visual communication—while fostering a fun, inspiring, and competitive environment. Rules & Regulations
Participation
Students must participate individually – no group entries allowed.
Theme & Creativity
- The theme will be announced in advance or provided on the spot.
- Participants must strictly follow the given theme.
- Sketches that do not match the theme will be disqualified.
- All artwork must be created within the event time only.
Time Limit
- Total time allotted: 60–90 minutes.
- Drawing must stop immediately when the time is over.
- Late submissions will lead to disqualification.
Materials & Tools
- Participants must bring their own drawing materials (pencils, erasers, sharpeners, colors).
- Only dry mediums are allowed:
- Graphite pencils (HB/2B/4B, etc.)
- Color pencils
- Crayons
- Sketch pens
- Charcoal pencils (if permitted)
- Wet colors (watercolors, poster colors, acrylic paints) are not allowed unless specified by organizers.
Fair Conduct
- No digital devices, printed images, books, or reference materials are allowed during the competition.
- The sketch must be original—no tracing, copying, or pre-drawn outlines.
- Any form of unfair means will lead to immediate disqualification.
